Client Retained Data Ownership and Data is NOT Resold
Data Ownership in Booking Software
Client retains data ownership means that all data generated through the platform—including customer data, booking data, operational data, and performance data—remains the property of the operator. The platform acts solely as a service provider and processor of that data, not the owner.
In much of the booking software industry, platform terms and conditions grant the provider broad rights to store, analyze, reuse, or commercialize operator data, often limiting how operators can access, export, or independently leverage it.
At Singenuity, this principle extends directly into our Open Data API approach. Because operators retain ownership of their data, they are provided full access to it via the API for reporting, integrations, analytics, and business decision-making. This ensures operators are not dependent on platform-controlled dashboards or permissions and can freely use their data to operate, market, and grow their business.
