Formula:
AOV shows the average dollar value of each booking across all transactions.

Average Order Value = Total Revenue ÷ Total Number of Orders

Examples:

  • An adventure park earns $25,000 from 500 bookings in July → AOV = $50 per booking.

  • A kayak rental company makes $7,200 from 180 online reservations → AOV = $40 per booking.

  • A museum brings in $12,000 from 300 ticket sales (including bundled audio guides and merchandise) → AOV = $40 per order.
